The role of Food Service Supervisor is a full-time position within Aramark's passionate Food Services Team. This job offers a unique opportunity to take a leadership role, work closely with a manager to coordinate and lead daily operations, oversee staff, and foster teamwork. The position demands a combination of operational oversight, food safety compliance, and staff mentorship. Food Service Supervisors are responsible for producing and maintaining work schedules, directing daily activities, ensuring food quality and safety, maintaining sanitary conditions in accordance with health and safety codes, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and employee development. This demanding role requires multitasking, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage stress while resolving interpersonal situations effectively.
The Food Service Supervisor will also handle preparation and storage of food items, supervise and evaluate employees to promote growth and teamwork, manage food safety and temperature logs, conduct preventative maintenance, and maintain communication within the team and other departments. Occasional work during nights and weekends for catering events, cashier duties, and filling in for absent employees is expected. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to supervise and lead a team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Basic math skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must complete sanitation training prior to or during first year
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions

Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
- Direct daily activities
- Maintain food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and department requirements
- Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment
- Maintain all serving schedules
- ensure that all food items are served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner following Aramark policies and procedures
- Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations
- Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
- May prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production for location
- Supervise and evaluate employees

- Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
- Train/mentor other food service workers
- Maintain logs on all maintenance required on equipment within the department

- Recommend replacement of existing equipment to meet needs of facility
- Proficiency in multi-tasking
- Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager whenever his/her skill and/or experience would be vital to initiate, coordinate, or complete any given program
- Must fill in for absent employees at location, as necessary
- Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and confirm they are prepared and delivered on time
- Be able to work occasional night and weekend catered events
- Attend food service meetings with staff
- Maintain communication with staff (including office staff, e-mail, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc)
- May perform cashier duties as the need arises
- Promote good public relations
