Job Description
Pacific Hospitality Group is a distinguished hospitality company that operates with a unique owner/operator approach, focusing on long-term holds that promote sustainable growth and development. As a family-centered organization, Pacific Hospitality Group is devoted to enriching the lives of people by providing memorable experiences, giving back to communities, and honoring their foundational values throughout all endeavors. The company prides itself on principles such as integrity, compliance, value creation, principled entrepreneurship, customer focus, knowledge, change, humility, respect, and fulfillment, which guide its operations and culture.
Pacific Hospitality Group is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their team in the role of Restaurant Host/Hostess. This role is critical as it serves as the first and last point of contact between the restaurant and its guests, playing a vital part in ensuring exceptional hospitality and customer satisfaction. The Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for managing seating arrangements, greeting guests warmly, and maintaining a smooth flow of operations during busy dining periods. This position requires a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a dynamic hospitality environment.
The Restaurant Host/Hostess position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and hospitality to develop their skills within a supportive and value-driven company. This role involves greeting guests promptly, managing reservations and waitlists, escorting guests to their tables, and providing menus while also responding to guest inquiries about services and amenities. The position requires coordination with restaurant staff to optimize seating arrangements and accommodate guest preferences while maintaining balanced sections for servers. Additionally, the Host/Hostess assists with light administrative tasks, maintains cleanliness of the host stand and entrance areas, and supports smooth operation during peak hours.
Candidates should expect to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods as well as occasionally lifting moderate weights. The role demands a calm and courteous attitude especially during busy service times. Experience with reservation or point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred but not mandatory, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.
Beyond the Restaurant Host/Hostess role, Pacific Hospitality Group also offers opportunities in their hotel operations, such as the OS&E Coordinator position for new hotel openings. This role involves managing the procurement, delivery, and organization of operating supplies and equipment necessary for hotel launches. Collaboration with project teams, contractors, and hotel department leaders ensures successful openings and operational readiness. This is indicative of the company's commitment to comprehensive service excellence and operational efficiency across all business areas.
Pacific Hospitality Group fosters an inclusive work environment that values diversity and prohibits discrimination on any grounds. Employment terms encompass various aspects including recruitment, hiring, promotion, compensation, and training, ensuring that all employees and applicants receive fair and equitable treatment. Individuals joining Pacific Hospitality Group become part of a forward-thinking, principled organization dedicated to creating lasting customer experiences and nurturing employee growth.
