This retail store is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join their team in a crucial role focused on ensuring the store remains sanitary and safe for all visitors and employees. The role emphasizes maintaining clean and orderly conditions both inside and outside of the store, including the upkeep of the exterior front entrance and sidewalks. The position demands strict adherence to safe food handling procedures to protect public health. The successful candidate will act as a frontline representative by providing excellent customer service, thereby contributing positively to the overall shopping experience.

The primary responsibilities include operating cleaning and maintenance equipment to preserve floor and facility cleanliness, performing routine extermination procedures to manage pests, and carrying out minor maintenance tasks to ensure that all equipment functions optimally. Additional duties include the proper handling and mixing of cleaning chemicals, replenishing restroom supplies, disposing of trash, and even maintaining lighting fixtures by replacing bulbs and fluorescent tubes. During winter, the role requires the spreading of ice melt and snow shoveling to prevent hazardous conditions.

Beyond physical maintenance tasks, this role entails effective communication and teamwork with store associates to support daily store operations and customer interactions. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to manage conflict constructively and maintain composure within a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment. Integrity and honesty are paramount, especially when handling sensitive customer and business information.
