The role primarily involves ensuring that safe and sanitary conditions are maintained throughout the store in accordance with company policies and local health department regulations. This includes cleaning and maintaining the exterior areas such as the front entrance and sidewalks, practicing safe food handling procedures, and delivering excellent customer service throughout each shift. The position requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for various cleaning tasks including the operation of cleaning equipment, maintenance of restrooms, walls, vents, ceilings, and refrigerated cases. Additionally, they will handle tasks such as exterminating pests, replacing light bulbs, and managing snow and ice removal from front entrances when needed. The role also includes minor equipment maintenance duties and proper mixing and use of cleansers and sanitizers to ensure safety and compliance with health codes.
