This role is critical within the King Soopers team, focusing on maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary shopping environment for customers and team members alike. The position entails ensuring that store cleanliness standards meet both company policies and health department regulations, a foundational aspect that supports customer satisfaction and health safety. Duties include maintaining the exterior of the store, such as the front entrance and sidewalks, ensuring these areas are safe and welcoming. Additionally, this role requires practicing safe food handling and providing excellent customer service, demonstrating the company’s commitment to hygiene and friendly, helpful service.

The position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive in safety practices, and passionate about teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. Associates in this role will be expected to clean various parts of the store, including floors, restrooms, walls, vents, and refrigerated cases, and also manage waste appropriately. Equipment operation and minor maintenance tasks form part of daily responsibilities, including adjusting lighting and maintaining cleaning supplies properly. This role may also require seasonal maintenance such as spreading ice melt and clearing snow, supporting safe access to the store year-round.
