With a rich history rooted in innovation and a commitment to excellence, Synergy Flavors is dedicated to enriching lives through healthier and tastier foods. As part of the Carbery Group, a global organization with over 1,000 employees across eight countries, Synergy Flavors carries forward a legacy of expertise, creativity, and passion in food science, beverage development, and nutrition. Their mission centers on developing superior taste solutions and driving innovation that enhances everyday consumer experiences worldwide.
The company prides itself not only on the quality of its products but also on the culture it fosters. At Synergy Flavors, people are at the heart of their success. They seek creative, motivated, and passionate individuals who are eager to contribute meaningfully to the company’s ongoing growth and impact. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, diversity, and inclusion, Synergy Flavors ensures a supportive work environment that encourages individual development and collective achievement.
The role of the Sanitation Technician plays a critical part in maintaining the company's high standards of cleanliness and safety across all company facilities. Reporting directly to the Production Manager and based onsite in Chicago, Illinois, this position is essential to supporting the operational efficiency and health regulations that allow Synergy Flavors to produce first-rate ingredients consistently. Offering a competitive hourly wage starting at $17.00, this role suits individuals who are attentive, reliable, and safety-conscious.
As a Sanitation Technician, you will be entrusted with the responsibility to ensure the entire building, including office spaces, laboratories, and plant areas, is meticulously maintained. Your work will directly influence the quality environment necessary for food and beverage ingredient production, an environment that complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other industry safety standards. You will be engaged in cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, as well as managing waste disposal and maintaining restroom and kitchen hygiene.
Additionally, the role requires participating in the company’s recycling program, identifying repair needs, and assisting with event setups, all contributing to a well-organized, clean, and professional environment. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols, wear necessary protective equipment including steel-toed shoes and safety goggles, and handle chemicals properly.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is detail-oriented, able to follow instructions with minimal supervision, and interested in being trained to operate a forklift. Synergy Flavors not only offers competitive pay but also a comprehensive benefits package and the chance to be part of a company committed to the growth and well-being of its people. Joining the team means contributing to a global business with meaningful local impact while growing your own career in a dynamic and supportive setting.
