The role we are hiring for is integral to the smooth running of our kitchen operations. This position focuses primarily on dishwashing and general kitchen cleanliness, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting other kitchen activities as necessary. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating dishwashing machinery according to established safety and quality guidelines, washing dishes and kitchen utensils including glasses, pots, and pans, and ensuring all kitchen areas are kept orderly and sanitary. Additionally, this role requires attentiveness to safety procedures, especially the handling and disposal of waste and cleaning as per material safety data sheet (MSDS) protocols.

In this role, you will not only carry out cleaning duties but also participate in supporting banquet events and other kitchen functions when required. The job demands high physical activity including sweeping, mopping, lifting, and moving heavy items. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, show initiative, and enjoy being part of a dedicated team that values delivering exceptional guest experiences. Job Requirements

Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds as needed
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to follow established safety protocols including MSDS
Capability to perform physical tasks such as sweeping, mopping, standing, and walking throughout the workday
Availability to perform duties as assigned including assisting banquet events
Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus and color differentiation

Job Duties

Use established guidelines to correctively utilize and maintain dish machine
Wash glasses and dishes in standard dish rack
Wash pots and pans only in the pot washer's area
Ensure that all cleaning is performed that is required to keep the kitchen neat and clean at all times including sweeping up broken glass/dishes and mopping up any spills
Empty full and heavy trash cans
Make sure they are sprayed and sanitized after each use
Place new trash bags in the container after each cleaning
Follow all MSDS protocols as well as Safety guidelines
Perform other duties in other areas of Kitchen as assigned including assisting with plating banquet events when needed
