Job Description
This position is for a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) Clerk Level I at a well-established fast food or quick service restaurant. In addition to customer-facing tasks, the QSR Clerk is expected to assist with inventory management by checking and restocking supplies in the preparation area, thereby ensuring uninterrupted food service during busy periods. Maintaining a professional appearance as outlined by the franchise or company’s standards is important in this role as the clerk represents the restaurant to customers and vendors alike.
The role may also involve light paperwork tasks related to shift operations, as well as general housekeeping duties within the restaurant to uphold cleanliness and safety. Job Requirements
- Some high school or equivalent with the ability to read and perform math
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction
- Ability to interact with customers on a friendly basis and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work a varied schedule and on weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in any area of the restaurant and operate a computerized Point of Sale system or cash register
- Position requires bending, standing, walking, and repetitive use of hands and arms the entire workday
- Must have ability to lift 10lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally
- Position requires the ability to handle continuous exposure to food and cleaning chemicals
- Position requires the ability to handle exposure to extreme temperatures
