The company is currently seeking a highly motivated, full-time Sales Representative to join their dynamic sales team during day shifts. The Sales Representative will play a crucial role in driving overall sales growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with both new prospects and existing clients. This involves not only managing the current account base but also taking proactive steps to penetrate the market with new produce and grocery products. The role is field-focused, requiring approximately 65% travel time to engage clients, conduct presentations, and participate in trade shows. Occasional overnight stays, about once per week, are necessary to support sales activities.
Key responsibilities revolve around cold calling potential customers to generate new business leads, reviewing sales analysis to gauge account profitability, and resolving any customer issues related to sales and services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication, time management, and negotiation skills. They will be a self-starter with a customer-driven mindset and a competitive spirit, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook is essential to manage client information and sales documentation efficiently.
This role requires a bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline and a minimum of five years of proven sales experience. Candidates must pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record screening, and a drug test including THC. Job Duties
- Actively manage and grow accounts including the pre-existing customer base
- Emphasis is on cold calling to generate new business as well as working on account penetration introducing new produce and grocery items
- Initiating contact with prospective customers and presenting strategies for elevating sales
- Manage existing account base and presenting strategies for elevating sales
- Review sales analysis to determine account profitability
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
- Build and foster working relationships and partnerships within the industry and community
- Attend appropriate trade shows
- Other duties as assigned
