The Sales Valet/Porter role at Asbury Automotive Group is a critical position responsible for the upkeep and management of the dealership lot. This role involves tasks such as cleanup, vehicle movement, organization, and display of vehicle inventory. The Sales Valet/Porter ensures that the vehicles are properly tagged with disclaimers and that their keys are cataloged accurately in the key tracking system. This position demands a proactive individual who is detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work outdoors, stand for long periods, and operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles safely.

Responsibilities extend beyond the simple task of moving vehicles; the Sales Valet/Porter also verifies incoming vehicles against invoices, inspects vehicles for damage and accessory completeness, and ensures each vehicle is fuelled and equipped with necessary stickers and documentation such as buyers guides. This role is essential for maintaining the dealership's professional image and ensuring that every vehicle on the lot is presentable and sale-ready. The position requires excellent organizational and communication skills as well as a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

This role requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings including background checks and drug tests. Candidates must be at least eighteen years of age and comfortable under varied weather conditions while performing their duties. Job Duties

  • Maintaining and organizing the vehicle inventory
  • receives and verifies inbound vehicles against invoice when applicable
  • catalog and input keys into the Key Track system
  • ensure all vehicles have fuel, required stickers/buyers guide and are in good condition
  • inspects vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice/addendum
  • ensuring inventory is cleaned, presentable, and properly displaying disclaimers and vehicle information
  • move and deliver vehicles when instructed
