Job Description

Hiland Dairy Foods Company is a renowned and established leader in the dairy industry, committed to delivering fresh and quality dairy products to its customers. Known for its emphasis on customer satisfaction and operational excellence, Hiland Dairy Foods operates with a strong dedication to ensuring that products are delivered promptly and safely. As an equal opportunity employer, the company fosters an inclusive work environment where all qualified individuals receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, or other protected status. Hiland Dairy Foods has built its reputation on trust, reliability, and outstanding service in the dairy sector, making it a preferred choice for both employees and customers alike.

The Route Sales Driver role at Hiland Dairy Foods is a critical position that blends driving expertise with salesmanship and customer service. This full-time position requires a highly responsible and efficient individual who will play a key role in the distribution and sales of dairy products over an established route. The driver will be responsible not only for delivering products but also for actively engaging with customers to promote the company’s offerings, handle transactions, and build relationships that foster repeat business. The role demands adherence to all Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) regulations, including the mandatory physical and drug screenings, to ensure safety on the road and at customer locations.

Specifically, the Route Sales Driver will manage the logistics of safely loading and unloading products, setting up merchandise displays, and collecting payments. Physical stamina is essential, as the role involves rigorous tasks such as lifting items up to 50 pounds, dragging milk stacks weighing approximately 240 pounds, and working under varying weather conditions ranging from extreme heat to cold. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors frequently, adapting to the demands of diverse environments throughout the year. Maintaining the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the delivery truck is also an integral part of the responsibilities to uphold company standards and ensure efficient operations.

This position is ideal for individuals with prior route sales experience and a proven strong driving record, offering a dynamic opportunity to combine driving and customer interaction in a sole contributor role that directly impacts the company’s sales success. Hiland Dairy Foods supports its employees with a fair working environment and encourages career growth within the dairy industry. Those interested in contributing to a trusted brand that values safety, quality service, and community presence will find this role rewarding and challenging.
