The position available is for a dynamic Sales Leader serving as a District Account Manager and Wine Specialist in Portland. It involves designing and implementing a world-class sales process that is repeatable and scalable within the district. Maintaining 100 percent product distribution and shelf presence is critical, as is the effective execution of administrative responsibilities within the territory. The ideal candidate will be proactive in establishing and nurturing rapport with store managers, restaurant owners, and key personnel to ensure brand loyalty and continued success.

This position demands strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and excellent communication capabilities both written and verbal. Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • must have a valid Oregon driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • possess a dependable vehicle with proof of state car registration and insurance
  • able to repetitively lift 45+ pounds and perform physical activities such as bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting
  • strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

  • ability to interpret technical instructions and manage multiple variables

Job Duties

  • Service existing accounts, host wine tastings, secure orders, establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers
  • establish and maintain rapport with store managers, restaurant owners and other store personnel
  • visit customers frequently and maximize face-time
  • maintain 100 percent distribution and complete administrative responsibilities for the territory
  • maintain 100 percent shelf distribution of all authorized items for each chain
  • have 25 appointments/selling situations every week
  • cut-in new item distribution and DSD items
  • rotate vintages, fill shelves, build displays, and maintain company housekeeping standards
  • submit travel and entertainment expense reports by month-end
  • complete daily and weekly preplans, recaps, and distribution reports
  • follow the 10 steps to a successful sales call
  • attend and contribute to weekly team meetings, participate in role-play presentations, review displays and case goals versus actual
  • carry cell phone at all times to communicate with accounts and management during working hours
  • perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
  • develop yourself as a wine business professional and enhance sales and business acumen skills
