Our Northern California team plays a crucial role in expanding our reach and deepening our relationships with retailers, restaurants, and bars that value authenticity and superior taste.

We are currently seeking a commissioned-based Sales Representative to join our dynamic and growing team in Northern California. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in wine and spirit sales, particularly within the Northern California market, who thrives on building meaningful business relationships and has an existing network of contacts in retail and hospitality sectors. The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities through proactive networking and cold calling, and implementing strategic sales plans tailored to the assigned territory.

This position requires not only sales expertise but also a deep passion for wine and spirits, combined with excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively represent T. Edward West. As part of the role, the representative will coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate processing and distribution of orders, as well as provide ongoing reports on sales performance and account status. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to reshaping the industry by supporting small family-owned producers and delivering exceptional products with sustainable practices. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as collaboratively within the team. The position requires a valid driver license and the ability to travel regularly within the Northern California territory. Job Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and high personal standards of performance
  • Existing network of buyer relationships is a plus
  • Valid driver license and ability to travel within the territory
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Travel to meet clients or potential clients is required

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in wine and/or spirits sales preferably in the Northern California market
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, and related software
  • Passion for wine and spirits with a desire to continue learning

Job Duties

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with potential and existing accounts in the wine and spirit industry
  • Identifies and locates new clients through networking and cold calls
  • Develops and implements sales strategies in the assigned region
  • Applies product knowledge to match products with client needs
  • Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other specifications to clients
  • Prepares and submits orders
  • Collaborates with staff to ensure accurate order processing and proper product distribution
  • Prepares and reports account results and status to manager
  • Performs other assigned duties
