Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, transportation or logistics
  • Knowledge of international and domestic freight forwarding operations
  • Ability to provide detailed commission reports
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Positive attitude and persistence
  • Clean background check and drug-free status
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
  • Reside within the US
  • Willingness to travel within the Southeastern US
  • Ability to work remotely with flexible schedule

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years experience in freight forwarding, transportation, logistics or other comparable fields
  • International and domestic freight forwarding knowledge such as: FTL, LTL, containerized freight, air and ocean freight, customs regulations, dangerous goods, incoterms, etc.
  • Must be able to provide detailed commission reports listing services you have previously sold or comparable portfolio
  • Ability to rapidly learn logistical operations processes and transportation terminology
  • Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive attitude and ability to be persistent
  • Must have a clean background and be drug-free
  • Must reside in the US and be able to legally work in the US

Job Duties

  • Develop rapport and build relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Travel to appointments and meetings with potential and existing customers within your territory
  • Meet or exceed designated sales targets
  • Create and implement an effective sales strategy
  • Document all leads, sales and customer interactions
  • Use knowledge of international and domestic freight forwarding to educate potential and existing customers
  • Expected to sell to the Southeastern US, so travel will be necessary
