Job Description
The company is a well-established distributor specializing in direct store deliveries (DSD) within various Texas markets, including Houston, Beaumont, College Station, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and cities located in the South Texas Valley. Dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service, the company aims to maintain strong partnerships with current customers while expanding its reach by securing new accounts. With an emphasis on reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, the company prides itself on serving a diverse customer base, ensuring fresh and well-merchandised products are consistently available at retail locations. The company values hardworking, motivated individuals who can uphold these standards across multiple locations and contribute to the overall growth of the business.
The Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Driver role is a vital position responsible for maintaining the flow of products to existing customers when the assigned route driver is unavailable. The driver will also actively promote the distribution of products by opening new customer accounts, helping to stimulate sales and market presence. This role involves delivering and distributing products along assigned routes within strict timelines, guaranteeing that customers receive their orders in good condition and within scheduled time frames. On top of deliveries, the DSD Driver is tasked with merchandising products at retail locations, ensuring proper product rotation to minimize outdated stock, and maintaining excellent store presentation.
The role demands strong interpersonal and communication skills, as the driver frequently interacts with store personnel and potential new customers. Using a hand-held computer device, the driver will generate invoices and maintain paperwork related to deliveries and monetary transactions. As a representative of the company, the driver must consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and actively seek opportunities to grow the customer base through cold calling and presentations. The position requires basic computer skills, fluency in both English and Spanish, and the ability to operate a vehicle safely under various weather conditions. A valid Texas Class C driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory, along with a minimum of three years of driving experience.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly wage of $20.00, with an equal employment opportunity environment. The company supports its employees through various means to help them succeed in their roles and contribute positively to the company's continuous expansion and customer satisfaction.
