With a rich legacy and a team united by integrity and passion, Purina embraces the power of togetherness, driven by the deep bond between people and their pets. The company operates within the pet nutrition industry, providing scientifically-backed products that not only nourish pets but also improve their overall well-being. Nestle Purina boasts 27 research, development, and technology centers worldwide, employing over 500 scientists who focus on creating advanced nutritional solutions for dogs and cats. This strong foundation of expertise enables Purina to maintain its position as a trusted leader in pet care, delivering products that address specific dietary needs and health conditions.
The role of Territory Sales Manager within Nestle Purina Veterinary Sales Team is a pivotal position, serving as the key liaison between the company’s Pro Plan Veterinary Diets products and veterinary professionals. This role plays a critical part in promoting specialized nutrition that supports optimal health for dogs and cats with unique dietary requirements. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Territory Sales Manager will manage an assigned geographic territory and work closely with veterinary clinics, distributors, and regional teams to drive sales growth and market share. The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 and includes performance-based incentives along with a comprehensive total rewards package such as healthcare coverage, a 401k with company match, and other benefits.
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will embody professionalism, entrepreneurial spirit, and business acumen to build and sustain strong relationships with veterinarians and veterinary clinic staff. Through continuous training and development, you will gain expertise in Purina’s veterinary diet formulations and leverage this knowledge to offer consultative selling that addresses the needs of your clients. Your responsibilities will include promoting the Pro Plan Veterinary Diet product line, developing and executing strategic sales plans, and using market insights to influence and support clinics in recommending Purina products. This role demands excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams.
Physical requirements involve a mix of activities such as bending, reaching, lifting up to 40 pounds, and spending extended periods sitting or standing. Travel, including overnight stays, will be necessary to meet and engage with clients within the assigned territory. Candidates must have a valid state driver’s license, a clean driving record, and meet specific insurance requirements. Reliability in transportation is essential. This position requires a bachelor’s degree and more than one year of sales experience, and candidates must be willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area if they are not already residents. Nestle Purina fosters an inclusive work environment, encouraging veterans, individuals with disabilities, and various diverse backgrounds to apply. The company emphasizes confidentiality and offers accommodations to ensure all candidates have an equitable recruitment experience.
