This role is pivotal in identifying, soliciting, and securing new group business across a variety of market segments, including corporate, association, and social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal (SMERF) groups. The Sales Manager will be responsible for responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), leading negotiations, and managing contracts to maximize revenue and profitability. This includes prospecting, developing, and managing accounts to drive negotiated rate agreements, conducting outside sales calls, networking, and client visits to expand market share. Analytical skills are key as the Manager will analyze production reports and adjust sales strategies accordingly to optimize account performance.

Strategic alignment with Revenue Management is another critical component, ensuring pricing and availability strategies dovetail with broader financial objectives. The Sales Manager will be expected to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals, participate actively in sales strategy and revenue meetings, maintain precise forecasting and pipeline management, and identify local market trends and opportunities.
