This position is for a Group Sales role within Crescent Hotels & Resorts where the successful candidate will engage in proactive efforts to solicit, build, and strengthen relationships within the market group sales segment. The responsibilities include identifying business opportunities through multiple sales channels, responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), preparing personalized proposals, and upselling to maximize revenue potential. The professional will collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific needs and expectations for conferences and events, conduct site tours, and provide comprehensive service throughout the event planning process from inquiry to post-event follow-up. Emphasis is placed on fostering long-term client relationships by delivering exceptional service while anticipating future event needs.

This role suits someone with a minimum of two years' experience in group sales preferably within a larger hotel setting that offers over 200 rooms and sophisticated meeting/event spaces. Proficiency with event sales software such as Delphi or Salesforce is valuable, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging clients, vendors, and colleagues effectively via phone, email, and in-person meetings. Additionally, the role requires travel to industry-related trade shows and external sales calls, emphasizing the importance of relationship-building skills and the ability to represent the hotel professionally. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, event planning, or a related field, reflecting a solid academic foundation that supports the sales expertise this position demands.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years group sales experience at full-service hotel
  • Preferably experience in hotel with over 200 rooms and meeting/event space
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in event sales software such as Delphi or Salesforce
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel for industry-related events
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
