The Sales Manager role at Hyatt is pivotal to driving the hotel's revenue by promoting and selling guest rooms, meeting spaces, and a variety of Hyatt services to customer groups. This position requires a fully competent individual experienced in the sales process and hotel functions. The Sales Manager is responsible for managing accounts, conducting site inspections, soliciting and generating new business, and preparing compelling proposals that effectively showcase the hotel's offerings. In addition to maintaining well-organized documentation and reports, the Sales Manager utilizes Hyatt's systems and coordinates customer service requirements to ensure an outstanding guest experience.

Collaboration is essential in this role, as the Sales Manager works closely with the sales and catering teams, support staff, and assigned Administrative Assistants. Participation in, and potentially leading, event meetings, sales meetings, and staff meetings is a key component of the position, ensuring cohesion and alignment across departments. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in hotel sales or a related field
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Availability to attend meetings and participate in events
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
  • Prefer training in selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills
