The Sales Manager role at Hyatt is a pivotal position within the hotel’s sales department, designed for an individual with a solid foundation in the sales process and a strong understanding of hotel operations. This role focuses on selling guest rooms, meeting spaces, and various Hyatt services to groups, ensuring that the hotel meets its revenue targets through strategic business development and account management. The Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting and generating new business opportunities, conducting site inspections, and preparing compelling proposals that address client needs. Utilizing Hyatt’s systems, the Sales Manager maintains organized documentation and reporting to support a structured and efficient sales operation.

Additionally, the Sales Manager plays an important role in coordinating customer service requirements and works closely with the Event Planning Manager to ensure that repeat clients are delighted and continuously engaged. This position is eligible for the Sales Incentive Plan which rewards performance and accomplishments. The salary range for this position is $79,700 to $90,000, reflecting the value Hyatt places on skilled sales professionals who contribute to the growth and success of the hotel. This role demands a mix of excellent communication skills, hospitality industry knowledge, and a passion for service excellence. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in hotel sales or similar field
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • proficiency with computers and sales software
  • ability to conduct site inspections and client presentations
  • willingness to participate in ongoing sales training

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
  • proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training preferred
  • training in selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills preferred
