Job Requirements

Must have dexterity and mobility to meet clients on and off premises, tour property, attend functions, climb stairs, use door keys and operate basic office equipment
Vision to read fine print and computer screens, see colors and observe rooms in poorly lit conditions
Understand and follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to work on more than one task at a time
Develop strong internal and customer relationships
Set and manage priorities and plan activities in advance
Solve problems and make sound business decisions
Respond to coaching, feedback and training
Must have reliable transportation and a valid state drivers license
Strong communication skills
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or secondary qualification or equivalent
Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards
Strong and effective sales skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships
Knowledge of yield management and negotiation techniques
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

Achieve a minimum of 90% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals
Target results-oriented high revenue potential sales calls for direct sales program
Maximize current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing revenue growth opportunities
Capture competitor accounts through networking, research, and reader board surveys
Follow up on all leads within 48 hours to create new business and refer leads to other Greenwood hotels
Plan and implement a targeted account development "hit list" to generate new revenue and contracts
Utilize yield management techniques to negotiate room rates and function space commitments
Maintain well-documented, accurate, and organized file management system
Develop strong customer relationships through frequent, professional, courteous, and ethical communication
Conduct market research and surveys to capitalize on hotel strengths and competitor weaknesses
Dedicate minimum 90% work time on direct sales efforts
Represent the hotel and company with integrity, professionalism, and a service-focused approach
Maintain a positive and involved team attitude and open communication
Display a neat, clean, and business-like appearance at all times
