Job Requirements
- Minimum of three years of hospitality sales experience
- Local market knowledge preferred
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals
- Experience at a similar size and quality hotel
- Proactive and assertive sales approach
- Able to evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action quickly
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Dependable
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of DELPHI
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Able to stand, sit, walk and climb stairs frequently
- Capable of bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Awareness and practice of safety and security protocols
- Friendly and courteous to guests and team members at all times
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of hospitality sales experience
- Local market knowledge preferred
- Proven ability to achieve sales goals
- Experience at a similar size and quality hotel
- Proactive sales approach
- Demonstrated track record of developing long term relationships
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of various cultural social events including weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and fraternal organization meetings
- Dependable
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of DELPHI
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
Job Duties
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to hotel guests
- Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet or exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication
- Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance
- Participate in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other catering sales related meetings as required
- Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers
- Attend community and social events and industry meetings
- Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards is essential
- Work varying schedules to reflect business needs of the hotel
- Comply with hotel rules and regulations for safe and effective operation
- Professionally represent the hotel at all industry and community functions
- Participate as a team player with all departments
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or management
- Lead the HAFH Experience
