Job Description
Our company is a leading hotel development firm focused on expanding premier hospitality experiences throughout Virginia. With a strategic emphasis on the Richmond area, our organization is dedicated to excellence, innovation, and exceeding expectations in the hotel development and management sector. We proudly operate multiple properties affiliated with global hospitality giants such as Marriott, Hilton, and IHG, positioning us as a dominant force in the Virginia hotel market. Our commitment is to deliver superior guest experiences through the talents of our associates, backed by strong values, comprehensive training, and robust growth opportunities, ensuring not only guest satisfaction but also maximizing the value of our investors' and owners' assets.
The Sales Manager role is a vital component of our area cluster sales team, responsible for overseeing group sales and meeting room facilities for three hotels simultaneously. This position requires prior hotel experience due to the complexities and coordination needed across multiple properties. The position plays a critical role in driving revenue generation through targeted sales activities, fostering client relationships, and managing administrative support for the sales department. As a Sales Manager, you will independently execute sales plans, solicit new business, maintain client accounts, and respond to inquiries to facilitate group bookings and event management.
Beyond sales responsibilities, this role encompasses guest service excellence, technical knowledge of hotel operations, market research, business planning, and maintaining community relations to enhance partnership opportunities. You will work closely with the sales team and other hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of hotel services, with a focus on achieving sales goals, managing group blocks, and contributing actively to revenue management discussions. Proficiency in various hotel systems, sales reporting, and market analysis tools is essential for success in this position. This dynamic environment demands strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach to effectively manage business development and client engagement across the multiple hotel properties within the Richmond cluster.
