The role of Event Sales Manager at Dave & Buster's/Main Event Entertainment is an exciting and strategic position focused on driving event revenue through consultative selling, proactive outbound prospecting, and maintaining a loyal existing client base. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent multi-tasking abilities, a successful track record in increasing sales, expertise in cold calling, and highly developed client nurturing skills. The Event Sales Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager, will take ownership of developing and implementing localized and outbound sales campaigns that target high-potential customer segments and industries.

This role demands a goal-oriented, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is driven by results, including sales commissions and quarterly bonuses. The Event Sales Manager will actively engage in daily outbound activities such as tabling and networking to generate leads and expand the company's reach in the community and through trade shows or conferences as needed. In addition to managing the full sales cycle with prospective and current customers, the position involves leading and mentoring a high-performing sales team to exceed individual and collective sales targets.

A strong command of technology tools is necessary for success, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word, customer relationship management (CRM) applications, and data warehouse platforms for tracking communications and sales data. The daily responsibilities also include monitoring key performance indicators and adapting sales tactics to remain ahead of competitors. Collaboration with District and Regional Sales Managers is a critical component of this role to align efforts and capitalize on regional opportunities.

The Event Sales Manager position offers a competitive salary range from approximately $75,662 to $89,014, with additional earning potential through sales commissions and bonuses. Job Requirements

  • 21+ years of age
  • 5+ years of related sales experience
  • outgoing and personable excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to travel 10% of the time within the community and to tradeshows or conferences
  • strong computer skills particularly with Excel Word Microsoft Office and CRM applications
  • well-developed presentation and negotiation skills
  • experience with outbound prospecting and new business development

Job Duties

  • perform outbound lead-generating activities outside the building including tabling networking events and go-sees with prospective and current customers
  • develop and execute a local and outbound sales strategy to identify high-potential target customer segments and industries that would benefit from our services
  • build and manage a high-performing sales team providing mentorship training and support to ensure they achieve their individual and team goals
  • manage the full sales process cycle through prospecting calls and setting appointments
  • monitor key performance metrics and market trends adapting our outbound sales strategy and tactics to stay ahead of the competition
  • track and report progress on daily weekly and monthly outbound prospecting and sales goals in our CRM
  • utilize the sales data warehouse platform to leverage regular communication with the client base and track all correspondence and communications
  • partner closely with your district sales regional sales managers
