Job Requirements
- Hospitality-driven, organized, technically savvy, and eager to develop in sales, business development, and hotel operations
- 2+ years of related experience with progressive management experience
- minimum of 1-year hotel service experience
- ability to work independently and demonstrate exceptional time management skills
- must have exceptional computer skills in Google, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Opera
- ability to travel locally to attend workshops, trade shows, conventions, etc
- must have a valid Driver’s License
- must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays

- valid Driver’s License

- preferred a four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
- bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Job Duties
- Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone/email solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication
- respond to inbound leads received through OSEM Opera within 4 hours of assignment
- prepare written correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance
- participate in daily sales meetings, training and other sales related meetings as required
- work with other departments within hotel
- proactively pursue new business development opportunities on a regular basis according to market assignment
- develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
- professionally represent the hotel in community, industry organizations and trade shows
- complete all required brand training in a timely manner and maintain compliance with all brand standards
- assist with reports and/or competition data collection
- employ revenue management techniques to recommend corporate rate proposals
- accurately prepare and present Requests for Proposals so that both client and hotel receive a good value
- develop, implement and constantly modify sales action plans
- manage and maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact management system
- negotiate and close contracts that meet the hotel’s business plan objectives
- internally communicate client requirements to ensure accuracy between client and hotel staff
- maintain good rapport with local civic groups and companies
- perform other duties as assigned
