Job Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of market position and sales strategies
  • Focus on achieving 100% of annual sales goals
  • Experience with yield management and pricing structures
  • Ability to develop action plans using SMART guidelines
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Understanding of hotel event contracts and financial agreements
  • Availability to travel domestically and work weekends or weeknights as needed
  • Ability to sit, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Valid California Driver's License

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in a sales role in a 200+ room property with at least 10,000 sq. ft of meeting space
  • AAA 4 Diamond experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of sales and hospitality principles
  • Ability to cover for sales and catering team members
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office, Cvent, and CITY
  • English proficiency required

Job Duties

  • Sell an iconic luxury destination
  • Own the strategy behind group rooms and banquet revenue success
  • Leverage brand resources and third-party partnerships to grow market share
  • Establish and maintain lasting client relationships
  • Plan and execute client site visits to showcase hotel offerings
  • Collaborate with catering managers for seamless banquet execution
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events
