Job Description
Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, represents the pinnacle of luxury hospitality in Orange County, California. This AAA Four-Diamond hotel, acclaimed with a Conde Nast Traveler's Choice Award, offers guests an exclusive and elevated experience nestled in the vibrant heart of the arts and business district. Owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Wincome Management, this establishment operates autonomously from Marriott International, Inc., ensuring unique management policies and a distinct corporate culture tailored to quality and guest satisfaction. The hotel combines sophisticated accommodations with refined event spaces, creating an ideal destination for discerning travelers and premier events alike.
The Sales Manager position at Avenue of the Arts offers a remarkable career opportunity for professionals passionate about luxury hotel sales and hospitality excellence. This full-time management role focuses on driving group and banquet revenue, positioning the hotel as the preferred destination for meetings, conferences, and special events in the region. The Sales Manager will leverage strategic business development, client relationship management, and insightful market analysis to achieve ambitious revenue goals and expand the hotel's market share. A key component of the role involves working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless client experiences, from initial site visits to the successful execution of events.
In this role, you will be entrusted with designing and implementing innovative sales initiatives that promote the venue's unique value proposition within an intensely competitive hospitality market. Utilizing brand resources, market intelligence, and industry partnerships, you will help shape the hotel's reputation as a leader in luxury group sales and event management. This position demands an individual who thrives in a dynamic sales environment, excels in communication and negotiation, and holds a strong customer-focused mindset aimed at creating lasting client partnerships.
The Sales Manager will also be responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of market trends, rate structures, and booking patterns to optimize revenue strategies. Proactively adapting the sales approach by monitoring performance metrics and adjusting tactics in alignment with the hotel's annual sales budget will be critical to success. Moreover, fostering collaborative relationships with catering managers and operational teams will ensure that client expectations are not just met but surpassed, enhancing the hotel's standing in the marketplace.
Additionally, you will represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events, utilizing these platforms to build brand awareness and cultivate business leads. This role includes travel within the United States, underscoring the importance of networking and maintaining visibility in the hospitality sales community. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years' experience in a similar sales role within a sizable property and possess advanced knowledge of sales principles specific to the hospitality industry.
Compensation for this role is competitive, with an hourly rate of $38, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package. The Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa is dedicated to fostering a supportive work environment that encourages professional growth, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. This is your chance to join a prestigious hotel brand and contribute to its continued success in a flourishing market, all while advancing your career in luxury hospitality sales.
