Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license for applicable state
- Proficient with Windows operating systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well under high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources
- Effective listening and understanding skills
- Ability to work with financial information and basic arithmetic
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards, including mandatory Monday-Friday ABR meeting
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with dress code and wearing name tag
- Comply at all times with Avion Hospitality standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations
- Solicit assigned accounts to achieve or exceed budgeted rooms revenue
- Conduct sales specific to business travel and/or groups, as required
- Make sales appointments and cold calls to consistently prospect accounts for all direct sales segments
- Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate market trends
- Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals assigned by Director of Sales
- Invite clients to hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours and site inspections
- Assist in implementing special promotions related to direct sales segments
- Attend and participate in daily/weekly sales meetings and monthly meetings of assigned professional organizations
- Participate in required M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage as scheduled
- Be familiar with all sales policies and house rules
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, employees and managers
- Attend monthly all-employee meetings and other management-required functions
- Meet and greet onsite contacts
- Abide by Prime Selling Time (PST)
- React to negative market trends by implementing blitzes or catering promotions
- Handle inquiries as part of Inquiry Day Program
- Perform other duties as requested by General Manager or Director of Sales
