Job Description

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City is a premier entertainment and hospitality destination located in Sioux City. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional amenities, this award-winning casino boasts more than 675 slot machines and thrilling live table game action, offering guests a comprehensive gaming experience. Beyond gaming, Hard Rock Hotel offers a luxurious stay, as it is a AAA Four Diamond rated hotel, a prestigious accolade attained by only a select five percent of the more than 28,000 properties approved by AAA. This rating reflects the hotel’s commitment to delivering a high standard of comfort, service, and quality to all its visitors. The property is also home to three distinct bars and two restaurants, including Fuel American Grill and the AAA Three Diamond rated Main + Abbey, enriching the guest experience with diverse dining options. The unique Hard Rock ambiance is accentuated by an extensive collection of music memorabilia featuring iconic pieces from legendary artists such as SLASH and Johnny Cash. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in this history, enhancing the overall entertainment and cultural appeal of the venue.

The role of Sales Manager at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City is critical to the establishment’s continued growth and success. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective client relationships and managing accounts to achieve revenue goals. The Sales Manager strategically manages existing client portfolios while actively soliciting new business opportunities and networking within the industry. This role demands a professional yet personable approach to service, cultivating long-term engagement and loyalty among employees, guests, and owners alike. The Sales Manager plays an essential role in enhancing the property's market presence by coordinating sales activities such as site inspections, expositions, and fairs, as well as conducting ongoing industry research to identify trends and optimize sales strategies. Coordination between sales and operation teams is key to meet special group needs, ensuring that every guest experience exceeds expectations and builds loyalty to both the property and the Hard Rock brand.

In addition to managing revenue streams, the Sales Manager is entrusted with monitoring competitive activities, adjusting sales execution as needed, and resolving client or guest concerns promptly. This role also involves generating brand awareness through targeted promotions and local event creation, alongside ethical stewardship of the Hard Rock brand. Essential collaborative projects with senior management and marketing staff further contribute to developing initiatives like the Motor Coach program. Moreover, the Sales Manager assists with charitable activities, including managing donations and volunteer campaigns, fostering a spirit of community and corporate responsibility. The role demands a mix of high energy, strong communication skills, and technical expertise in software platforms such as Microsoft Office and hotel management systems like MICROS Opera and Delphi, supporting the efficient execution of sales operations.

This position requires a seasoned professional with at least three years of experience in hospitality management sales and a formal background in hospitality education or equivalent experience. It entails physical demands, including mobility throughout the facility and occasional lifting, combined with the need for excellent interpersonal skills to manage the diverse needs of clients and internal team members.
