We are currently seeking a Sales Manager to join our committed sales team and play an integral role in the group sales efforts of the property. This full-time position is designed for a proactive sales professional who will engage in systematic sales activities, maintain and nurture existing account relationships, and develop new contacts and accounts through networking and community involvement. The Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales, providing consultation and guidance while sharing the responsibility for driving overall revenue and market share growth for the property.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for selling and negotiating group and local corporate accounts, ensuring that business booked aligns with the hotel's objectives and market conditions. This role necessitates the ability to conduct property tours and site inspections for prospective clients, perform weekly sales calls both in person and via telephone, and utilize a variety of sales prospecting tools to track and analyze sales activities effectively. A comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, local demand, and economic trends is essential to position the property favorably and capitalize on sales opportunities.
Furthermore, the Sales Manager will contribute to marketing programs and promotions aimed at increasing sales and introducing new products and services to enhance the customer experience. Active participation in weekly sales meetings is expected to facilitate information sharing, goal setting, and achievement of sales targets. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business marketing or relevant discipline desired
- A minimum of 1-3 years experience in a hotel preferably in a sales or operations role
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office suite and related software
- Valid drivers' license and a driving record that meets the company's insurance requirements
- Ability to periodically travel to other locations sometimes requiring overnight stay
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time either seated or standing
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 35 lbs
- Ability to maintain flexible extended work hours as needed by job demand and functions
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Selling and negotiating group and local corporate accounts with consultation and guidance for the director of sales
- Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities
- Provide accurate complete and effective turnover to internal stakeholders to ensure they are successful in executing for the client
- Accountable for sales goals monitor progress toward those goals responsible for attracting and retaining customers
- Conduct site inspections and property tours with prospective clients
- Conduct weekly sales calls in person with local clients or via phone with remote clients
- Understand the overall market the strength and opportunities of competitive set hotels local demand economic trends and identify ways to sell against them
