This position is a full-time management role within Marriott’s sales and marketing category, paying between $29.81 and $38.46 per hour with eligibility for bonuses. The role primarily involves handling customer inquiries and lead requests for group sales, specifically targeting groups with 10 to 99 peak room nights. The Sales Manager will engage with customers to align their preferences with Marriott’s brand standards, while actively up-selling business opportunities to maximize revenues and enhance customer loyalty.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all business transactions are completed efficiently and turned over to the property in a timely manner to ensure the delivery of quality service. This role demands excellent selling and communication skills, along with a thorough understanding of property operations, including food and beverage services and event planning. The Sales Manager will also create contracts and handle business correspondence necessary for booking confirmations. Collaboration with other sales channels within Marriott is crucial to ensure coordinated and complementary sales efforts.

In addition to sales activities, the role includes building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, resolving any guest issues that arise during the sales process, and utilizing company marketing initiatives to close business effectively. Job Requirements

  • Must reside within 50 miles of Nashville, Tennessee
  • Previous sales experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • OR two-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • Preferred two years experience selling group business
  • Knowledge of property operations and food and beverage
  • Understanding of group sales processes and closing techniques
  • Experience in team-based selling
  • Hospitality Management Degree preferred
  • Strong selling and communication skills

Job Duties
