La Mesa RV is a family owned and operated company that was founded in 1972, originally located in La Mesa, California, and recently relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. Over the decades, La Mesa RV has grown extensively to become one of the largest multi-location RV dealerships in the world and is recognized as a leader in the recreational vehicle industry. The company prides itself on a strong business philosophy that places the utmost importance on both customers and employees, believing them to be the most important people in the world. This core belief, championed by founder James K, has propelled La Mesa RV on a solid path of growth, prosperity, and a lasting reputation for quality service and family-oriented business culture.
La Mesa RV combines the benefits of a large, well-established company with a family-focused and fun corporate environment. For those seeking a career in a growing and dynamic industry, La Mesa RV offers significant opportunities for internal growth and development. They provide competitive pay, healthcare coverage, 401K retirement plans, paid time off, and more, making it an attractive workplace for individuals looking to build a rewarding career in an expanding market.
The Sales Lot Porter position at La Mesa RV is a vital role within the sales department. This role primarily involves assisting with lot activities and vehicle transport while maintaining the sales lot and stock units. The ideal candidate is someone with excellent reliability, hardworking nature, and a team player attitude. The Sales Lot Porter is responsible for moving sales vehicles on the lot as requested and ensuring the lot remains clean and organized. Critical to this position is the responsibility for the security and inventory control of all vehicles, including scanning lot inventory and maintaining the security of license plates.
Safety protocols are of great importance; use of a spotter when backing any recreational vehicle is mandatory to ensure safe operations. The role also entails performing various errands such as mail runs, vendor visits, bank deposit runs, supplies pickups, and other tasks as directed by management. Additionally, the Sales Lot Porter supports customer and employee transportation needs during out-of-state deliveries. They are expected to refuel vehicles as needed and promptly report any maintenance issues to the Delivery Manager, General Sales Manager, or Sales Manager on Duty, such as oil changes, brake concerns, or tire maintenance. This role requires a commitment to safety, adherence to company policies, and a proactive approach to supporting the sales team and overall dealership operations.
Joining La Mesa RV means becoming part of a family where core values such as fun, attitude, making their day, integrity, listening, and quality are not just words but practiced principles. The company encourages potential applicants to explore the website and discover more about this opportunity to join a growing, family-focused company that prioritizes both professional growth and employee wellbeing. La Mesa RV is not just a place to work; it is a community where employees can thrive and contribute to a leading brand in the recreational vehicle industry.
