The role of Lot Attendant/Porter at Mossy Auto Group offers an excellent entry point for those beginning their careers in the retail automotive industry. Employees in this role will receive a base hourly wage starting at the minimum wage rate and can earn up to $19.00 per hour based on performance and experience.

As a Lot Attendant/Porter, the individual will be directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the dealership, supporting the smooth running of vehicle display and client service areas. Key responsibilities include retrieving client vehicles as directed, inspecting vehicles for any damage before delivery, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the lot. The role includes placing buyer guides and stock tags on vehicles, driving vehicles to and from the service lane and parking lot, and performing additional duties as assigned by management. This role also emphasizes providing excellent customer service, requiring professionalism, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

Job Duties

  • Retrieving the clients vehicle as notified by management
  • Inspecting each vehicle to be delivered for lot damage that may have occurred during or before delivery
  • Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles
  • Keeps new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards
  • Cleans driveway and sidewalks
  • Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed
  • Makes key tags for vehicles
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Providing excellent customer service
