Wayne Akers Ford is a well-established automotive dealership committed to providing exceptional customer service and quality vehicles to its community. Recognized for its extensive selection of new and used cars, as well as its trusted service and maintenance programs, Wayne Akers Ford prides itself on fostering a welcoming environment for both customers and employees. The dealership values integrity, professionalism, and dedication, aiming to create an inclusive workplace where every team member can thrive and contribute to the company’s ongoing success. With a focus on growth and customer satisfaction, Wayne Akers Ford continues to enhance the automotive buying experience by integrating state-of-the-art facilities and a customer-centric approach.

The Lot Attendant/Porter role at Wayne Akers Ford is a full-time position that offers a competitive wage of $15.00 per hour. This role is critical to the daily operations of the dealership, ensuring the organization and maintenance of the vehicle lot and supporting overall dealership logistics. The Lot Attendant is responsible for safely driving and parking inventory, including new and used vehicles, while ensuring the lot remains orderly and visually appealing to customers. Key responsibilities include checking in new car arrivals, removing protective plastics, and applying display stickers to cars to ensure they are customer-ready.

In addition to vehicle management, the Lot Attendant plays an important role in customer service by cleaning vehicles after test drives, service appointments, or before delivery to customers. This includes washing, vacuuming, fueling, and detailing cars, thereby enhancing the customer’s experience. The job also involves logistical support such as shuttling customers or staff, picking up dealer trades from other locations, and running dealership errands. Candidates for this position should be confident, organized, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential for this role, along with the ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Wayne Akers Ford provides a supportive work environment with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, vacation time, and a 401(k) savings plan. The dealership emphasizes the importance of maintaining a drug-free workplace and requires pre-employment drug testing. The position requires on-site attendance, with a flexible schedule that generally covers Monday through Friday and includes Saturdays as needed. As an equal opportunity employer, Wayne Akers Ford is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, ensuring all employees are treated with respect and fairness regardless of background or identity. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who are passionate about the automotive industry and are eager to contribute to a customer-focused team in a dynamic dealership setting.
