Job Description
Hornblower Group is a global leader in experience and transportation with over a 100-year legacy. The company offers a diverse portfolio of services encompassing water- and land-based experiences, sightseeing and dining cruises, and comprehensive ferry and transportation services. Among its many divisions, City Experiences focuses on premier experiences such as City Cruises, Walks, and Devour food tours, providing guests with immersive cultural and culinary adventures in over 111 countries and more than 125 U.S. cities. City Ferry, another key Hornblower Group division, is the largest private operator of high-speed passenger and vehicle ferries in the U.S., managing services like NYC Ferry and Puerto Rico Ferry and serving more than 10 million passengers annually.
Hornblower’s extensive network is supported by subsidiaries including Hornblower Marine, providing vessel maintenance and outhaul services, and Seaward Services, Inc., which specializes in shipping, waterfront logistics, and vessel operations. Additionally, Anchor Operating System, LLC offers reservation, ticketing, and website integration services tailored to the transportation, tourism, and entertainment industries. The company’s global footprint spans over 10 countries with corporate offices in major cities such as Orlando, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, London, New York, Dublin, and Ontario, Canada.
City Experiences is committed to creating amazing customer experiences by employing a team environment that values communication, creativity, and cooperation. With a mission to serve more than 30 million guests annually across its vast portfolio, the company pushes the boundaries of delivering quality guest service and fosters a culture built on its RESPECT Service System, emphasizing respect, engagement, and excellence in service.
The Group Concierge role within City Experiences is a vital position responsible for managing the post-purchase process for group guests. This role focuses on cultivating strong relationships with clients and overseeing crucial event logistics to ensure flawless group experiences. The concierge helps to maximize revenue opportunities by upselling and coordinating enhancements to group bookings while acting as a key liaison between the sales team, operations, and guests.
Reporting either to the General Manager or the Senior Concierge Manager depending on location needs, the Group Concierge is expected to handle up to 50 group events per month, managing all facets from initial client follow-ups to event execution and post-event feedback. The role demands a sales-oriented mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a guest-first approach. The Group Concierge also attends site visits, conducts detailed pre-event meetings, and supports account managers by serving as a local resource when necessary.
Flexibility in scheduling is essential as the role requires availability during nights and weekends to accommodate client site inspections and event details. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work for a leader in the global experiences and transportation industry, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and revenue growth while advancing one’s career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. City Experiences prides itself on fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace and is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to non-discrimination and equal access to employment opportunities.
