The Homesense store located in Newark, DE, is currently seeking a part-time Sales Floor Associate to join their team. This role offers a starting pay range of $15.00 to $15.50 per hour, with the exact wage determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. The position involves working flexible hours, typically ranging from 15 to 20 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 8 AM and 9:30 PM throughout the week, including weekends. The Sales Floor Associate is pivotal in delivering a superior customer experience by engaging and assisting customers directly on the sales floor, processing furniture and rugs, and occasionally operating the cash register. Individuals in this role are expected to embody TJX’s customer experience philosophy, maintain a clean and organized sales environment, and adhere strictly to all operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards.
Key responsibilities include accurately processing merchandise, supporting sales floor merchandising philosophies, maintaining store organization and cleanliness, and promoting company loyalty and credit programs. The associate will be cross-trained to work in various store areas to address business needs effectively. Additionally, the position emphasizes teamwork, positive store culture, and compliance with labor laws and safety standards. The Sales Floor Associate must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, strong communication capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Physical capability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation, is also required.
