The position of Dual Sales Executive is a unique and dynamic role within Marriott, specifically supporting the Long Wharf Boston Marriott and Renaissance Boston Seaport properties. This full-time management role is pivotal in driving revenue and meeting the top-line financial goals of these prestigious hotels by actively engaging all relevant business segments. The successful candidate will proactively seek new business opportunities through targeted solicitation of small business accounts, identifying and sourcing new accounts, and re-engaging with past leads. The role requires a sophisticated understanding of pricing strategy in the Boston market, along with the ability to coordinate internal property efforts effectively.
Working closely with the Property Sales Leader and hotel General Managers, the Dual Sales Executive will focus on sales-driven activities to maximize special corporate business and align local sales strategies with broader organizational goals. Collaboration with multi-hotel sales teams, local sales, U.S. Account Sales, and Global Sales Organization teams is a crucial aspect of this role to ensure the achievement of production targets from priority accounts. The role demands a proactive sales mindset strengthened by strong negotiation skills, in-depth market knowledge, and the use of advanced sales tools and data sources such as CITY SFA Web and EMPOWER to optimize lead generation and management.
Additionally, the Dual Sales Executive will be responsible for executing community networking initiatives, attending local industry events, conducting site inspections, and driving customer satisfaction through various forms of interaction including face-to-face meetings, account calls, and social events. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk or related area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major
- Ability to work full time at Boston location
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with sales and lead management software
- Ability to engage customers and generate new business
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in sales, marketing, guest services or related field
- OR 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major
- Preferred 4-year college degree
- Experience in proactive lead generation and hospitality sales
- Knowledge of hospitality business segments such as group, catering, transient
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in sales data and CRM tools
- Ability to work collaboratively in sales teams
- Customer service orientation and relationship building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Job Duties
- Work with Property Sales Leader in identifying top accounts and key buyers for stakeholder hotels
- Assist in identifying share shift targets
- Manage daily status change reports to close business
- Work with local and US sales teams to drive production from high priority accounts
- Coordinate and execute internal property mining efforts
- Solicit new business from small accounts and referral leads
- Conduct customer facing sales activities and site inspections
- Maintain accurate lead information and sales data
- Qualify and maintain long-term business potential
- Verify lead turnover and collaborate with Multi-Hotel Sales
- Present hotel benefits based on customer needs
- Utilize negotiation and selling skills to uncover new business
- Communicate market trends and opportunities
- Leverage all sales channels to optimize revenues
- Utilize marketing initiatives to convert leads
- Track weekly activities related to revenue
- Set daily priorities and participate in sales strategy meetings
- Drive revenue from local non-deployed accounts
- Activate tactics for deployed accounts
- Perform other duties as assigned
