This Full-time position is based in the Bay Area, specifically in San Jose, and offers a competitive salary starting from $140,000 per year. The role centers around business development and technical sales, with a strong emphasis on creating and maintaining customer relationships through innovative technical solutions involving adhesives and their processes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with DELO’s teams in both the US and Germany, gaining international exposure and contributing to the growth of the company in the North American market.
As a key member of the sales and engineering team, the role requires identifying new sales opportunities and expanding the customer base through proactive customer acquisition activities. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex technical adhesive and process solutions tailored to the needs of multiple high-tech industries, ensuring that clients receive state-of-the-art products and expert support. This role involves close collaboration with executives and engineering teams across continents, supporting start-up project development and providing ongoing customer assistance to ensure successful implementations.
Project management responsibilities include oversight of both internal and external initiatives, enabling efficient coordination of resources and timely delivery of solutions. The candidate will also be tasked with establishing a local sales network to strengthen DELO’s presence in the region and representing the company at various trade shows, showcasing the advanced technology and solutions that DELO offers. This position provides extensive training opportunities, including comprehensive onboarding at the company’s headquarters in Germany and the greater Boston area, equipping the employee with deep technical knowledge even if prior adhesive experience is limited.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Science, or Physical Engineering. They will bring at least five years of experience in a technical corporate environment, with desirable additional experience in customer support or sales. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to travel are essential for success. Being located in the Bay Area is a requirement due to the need for local market engagement and travel within the region.

Job Requirements
- Located in Bay Area (San Jose)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field required
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical corporate environment
- Minimum of 2 years customer support or sales experience is desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel
Job Qualifications
- Degree in engineering i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Science, Physical Engineering, or similar technical areas
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical corporate environment
- A minimum of 2 years of customer support or sales experience is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
- Prior expertise in adhesives is not required as you will get intensive and exciting training in Germany
- Willingness to travel
