The role of Sales Consultant at Guest Worldwide is pivotal in fostering strong customer relationships and promoting the company's extensive range of products and services. This position focuses on outside sales, where the Sales Consultant is tasked with engaging both new and existing clients to establish themselves as trusted business partners. The consultant uses consultative selling techniques tailored to the hospitality sector and related industries to sustain and boost sales of amenities, textiles, room accessories, cleaning supplies, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) products. The role demands a proactive approach to identifying new sales prospects while nurturing existing accounts to maximize growth potential and market penetration within a specified territory.

A key aspect of the role is leveraging advanced sales tools such as Phocas, GForce, and Salesforce.com, combined with product knowledge and return-on-investment analysis, to address customer needs effectively and capitalize on growth opportunities. Sales Consultants are responsible for maintaining ongoing communication with clients to update them about product innovations, pricing changes, and company developments. In addition, they must swiftly address any customer complaints or service issues to preserve long-term relationships.

Guest Worldwide offers a supportive environment where Sales Consultants receive a base salary complemented by quarterly bonuses based on key performance indicator (KPI) achievements. This compensation structure rewards those who meet or exceed their sales and profitability targets. The position also requires collaboration with internal departments such as Accounts Receivable and Merchandising to ensure seamless customer service and accurate sales forecasting. Sales Consultants contribute to new account setups by facilitating customer applications, order guide establishment, pricing schedules, and file maintenance.

The Sales Consultant job is both challenging and rewarding, demanding excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work independently while operating within a team environment. This role appeals to goal-oriented individuals who are motivated by success and eager to help customers grow their businesses. Travel is a necessary component of the role, involving visits to client sites, industry events, training sessions, and other business-related appointments. Guest Worldwide also supports remote work arrangements where reliable internet and a distraction-free workspace are essential. This flexibility combined with a collaborative corporate culture makes the Sales Consultant position ideal for driven sales professionals seeking a long-term career in hospitality-related industries.
