Guest Worldwide is a renowned global collective of dynamic, industry-leading companies with more than 40 years of unparalleled experience catering to the unique needs of diverse markets across the globe. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Sysco, an industry-leading global food and beverage distribution company, Guest Worldwide is perfectly positioned within one of the largest sales organizations worldwide. The company’s extensive product portfolio includes full-spectrum hospitality and distribution solutions through Guest Supply®, award-winning personal care amenities manufactured by Gilchrist & Soames, and innovative textile assortments created by Manchester Mills. These products and services proudly serve over 25,000 hotels located in more than 100 countries, showcasing a steadfast commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This deep-rooted presence in the hospitality industry, coupled with the firm’s integration into Sysco, provides a unique blend of stability, innovation, and growth opportunity for employees who join the team.
The Sales Consultant role at Guest Worldwide is a vital position dedicated to promoting the company’s diverse products and services by fostering strong relationships with both new and existing customers. As an outside sales representative, the Sales Consultant will focus primarily on consultative selling techniques tailored to the hospitality sector, specifically targeting amenities, textiles, room accessories, paper, janitorial supplies, cleaning products, FF&E, and MRO items. This role requires managing an assigned territory to cultivate and expand sales opportunities while helping customers achieve their business goals. The Sales Consultant acts as a trusted business partner by understanding customer needs and offering solutions that directly contribute to their success.
This position offers a base salary complemented by the opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses based on key performance indicators, making it attractive for highly motivated sales professionals. The Sales Consultant is empowered to utilize advanced tools such as Phocas, GForce, and Salesforce.com to drive sales and market growth. Responsibilities include maintaining solid customer relationships, identifying new sales leads, handling complex account management duties, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Moreover, this role involves strategic forecasting and market analysis to align sales efforts with company objectives.
An ideal candidate for this role will possess a bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business and bring 3-5 years of proven sales experience, preferably within hospitality or supply distribution. The role requires excellent communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, alongside the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel and dynamic customer needs. Candidates must demonstrate a goal-oriented and self-driven mindset, combined with the ability to work autonomously and within a team setting. Familiarity with financial concepts and proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office 365 is essential for success in this position.
Physically, the role demands a mix of stationary and mobile work, including operating a computer, making frequent travel appointments, and potentially managing customer interactions in remote settings. Candidates must also possess a valid driver’s license and maintain proper automobile insurance to facilitate business travel. Overall, Guest Worldwide offers a dynamic and supportive workplace where sales professionals can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the global hospitality industry.
