Job Description
Johnson & Johnson is a global leader in healthcare, renowned for its commitment to innovation, quality, and improving the health of people worldwide. Established as a pioneer in the medical and consumer health sectors, Johnson & Johnson operates through various divisions including Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health, and Medical Devices. The company’s MedTech segment focuses on developing and delivering innovative surgical products and solutions that enhance patient outcomes and streamline clinical workflows. At its core, Johnson & Johnson emphasizes a culture of inclusion, diversity, and respect for all employees, fostering an environment where every individual is valued and empowered to contribute to advancing healthcare technology. With a significant presence in the United States and around the world, Johnson & Johnson’s footprint in the medical devices market continues to expand, supported by decades of expertise and a strong ethical foundation rooted in Our Credo.
The current opportunity is for a Sales Consultant specializing in Foot & Ankle products within Johnson & Johnson’s MedTech Orthopaedics division, located in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role offers a unique chance to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to pioneering innovative treatments at the intersection of biology and technology. The Foot & Ankle Sales Consultant is responsible for driving growth and development of healthcare professional (HCP) customer relationships within a defined geographic territory. This role demands a deep understanding of the Foot & Ankle product portfolio, including new product introductions and competitive landscape, enabling the consultant to effectively present, demonstrate, and support the utilization of DePuy Synthes’ advanced orthopedic solutions.
As a Sales Consultant, the individual will not only engage with surgeons and clinical staff to ensure proper product use but will also act as a key market strategist in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager. The position requires an ability to build long-lasting clinical relationships, provide critical intraoperative support, and ensure timely delivery and inventory management consistent with company policies. This role is highly autonomous, requiring a mix of technical expertise, strong interpersonal communication, strategic business acumen, and the ability to thrive in a competitive healthcare marketplace. Candidates will benefit from working in an inclusive and ethically responsible organization committed to respecting diversity, professional development, and offering a supportive team environment.
The Foot & Ankle Sales Consultant will operate in a complex sales and clinical environment where a balance of scientific knowledge and sales effectiveness is crucial. The role supports both new and existing business, contributing to the company’s leadership in innovative orthopedic healthcare solutions. With Johnson & Johnson’s announcement of the planned separation of its Orthopaedics business to form DePuy Synthes—a standalone orthopedic company—candidates joining this role can expect to transition to DePuy Synthes’ employment structure as part of the evolving business strategy. Throughout this anticipated process over the next 18 to 24 months, employees will receive continuous support and clear communication about their employment and benefits.
This position requires a candidate who can seamlessly navigate regulatory, legal, and ethical compliance requirements while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Johnson & Johnson is committed to equal employment opportunity, actively seeking qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities, to contribute to a collaborative and innovative workplace. The company also prioritizes a transparent, respectful, and supportive hiring process to ensure candidates have a positive experience from application to onboarding. In summary, this role offers a rewarding career opportunity for a motivated sales professional passionate about advancing orthopedic care through cutting-edge medical devices and solutions.
