The role of a Retail Sales Consultant at Mattress Warehouse is both dynamic and rewarding. Sales Consultants are entrusted with the responsibility of guiding customers through a personalized shopping experience that transforms their sleep quality and satisfaction. Using Mattress Warehouse’s exclusive bedMATCH® diagnostic sleep system, which analyzes 18 different measurements to recommend the perfect mattress for each individual, Sales Consultants help customers make informed decisions tailored to their unique sleep needs. This low-pressure, educational sales approach contrasts sharply with typical retail environments, focusing instead on improving customers’ lives through better sleep solutions. The role requires a blend of high energy, enthusiasm, and a team-oriented attitude, alongside strong interpersonal skills and the ability to meet and interact with customers effectively.
The position typically demands availability for a retail schedule that includes evenings, most holidays, and all weekends, offering a work week of four to five days and 40 to 55 hours. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, reset the showroom floor, and assist customers with loading mattresses into their vehicles. Sales Consultants at Mattress Warehouse use state-of-the-art technology, including tablets, mobile points of sale (POS), and the bedMATCH system, to enhance their selling process and customer service experience. Compensation is generous, featuring a competitive hourly wage or commission pay, eligibility for bonuses, and a robust 401(k) plan with a significant employer match. Job Requirements
- Motivated individuals with a retail schedule availability including evenings, holidays, and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical showroom tasks
- Experience with customer-focused sales environments preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
