Job Description

Mattress Warehouse is a leading bedding retailer in the United States, recognized for its commitment to quality sleep and exceptional customer service. With over 520 store locations nationwide and more than 35 years of experience in the mattress industry, Mattress Warehouse stands as one of the largest and fastest-growing companies in its sector. This family-owned and operated business prides itself on fostering a team-oriented environment where associates are empowered to shape their careers and make meaningful contributions every day. The company's dedication extends beyond just products and services; it actively supports the communities it serves and is committed to protecting the environment through sustainable practices.

At Mattress Warehouse, employees enjoy a robust compensation package that combines a competitive hourly wage or commission pay, eligibility for bonuses, and a 401(k) plan with a generous employer match. This financial security is complemented by an array of comprehensive benefits designed to promote well-being, including medical, dental, vision, short/long-term disability, basic life and AD&D insurance. The company also offers recognition programs and product discounts, fostering an engaging work atmosphere that values each team member's efforts. Paid time off comprising vacation, personal, and sick days further underscores the company’s commitment to employee work-life balance.

The Sales Consultant role at Mattress Warehouse is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about retail and customer satisfaction. The position focuses on delivering a personalized buying experience, utilizing the company’s exclusive bedMATCH® diagnostic sleep system. This innovative technology measures 18 key parameters to tailor mattress recommendations, enhancing customer sleep quality and overall satisfaction. Sales Consultants are not only salespeople but trusted advisors who educate customers in a relaxed, low-pressure setting about how quality sleep solutions can improve their lives. Training is comprehensive, and ongoing professional development is encouraged through continuous feedback and access to a broad learning library.

Prospective candidates should be highly motivated, personable, and enthusiastic with a team-oriented attitude. The role requires physical stamina to lift up to 75 pounds, reset showroom floors, and assist customers with loading mattress purchases. Flexibility in availability is essential, as the work schedule often includes evenings, weekends, and most holidays, normally spanning 40 to 55 hours weekly. Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish or other languages, are considered a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base.

Mattress Warehouse champions diversity and inclusion, standing as an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive work environment for employees regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. This role is ideal for driven, results-oriented individuals seeking a rewarding career path within a supportive and dynamic company.
