Job Description
Travel + Leisure Co. is the world’s leading vacation ownership and travel membership company, offering an extensive and dynamic portfolio of resort, travel club, and lifestyle travel brands. Renowned for its innovative approach and rapid growth, the company is dedicated to delivering exceptional vacation experiences to millions of travelers worldwide. With a mission to 'put the world on vacation,' Travel + Leisure Co. cultivates a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages continuous learning, professional development, and a passion for hospitality. The company’s commitment to excellence and memorable customer experiences is evident in every aspect of its operations, from resort amenities to personalized travel services.
The Sales Concierge role is a vital position within Travel + Leisure Co., focused on in-person marketing with prospective and current owners at various resorts. This full-time position, based in Mid-City, San Diego, California, requires engaging guests upon arrival, presenting the company’s offerings with enthusiasm and professionalism, and scheduling resort guests to meet with sales representatives for presentations. The Sales Concierge serves as a positive brand ambassador for Wyndham Destinations, an integral part of Travel + Leisure Co., helping to foster customer relationships and encourage participation in sales-preview tours.
As a Sales Concierge, the individual will collaborate closely with resort staff to receive arrival sheets, greet guests warmly, incentivize attendance at sales presentations, and qualify potential customers based on company guidelines. The role demands a friendly and persuasive demeanor, combined with the ability to meet or exceed production standards. During the initial training period, the hourly wage starts at $19.75 plus commissions and bonuses. After training, compensation aligns with the state’s minimum wage plus commissions and bonuses, targeting an annual income of approximately $75,000, with top performers earning upwards of $118,000. This earning potential reflects a strong incentive-based pay structure designed to reward high achievement.
The Sales Concierge position offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in sales or marketing to develop their career within the vibrant travel and leisure industry. Although sales and marketing experience is preferred, it is not strictly required, making this a great entry point for motivated individuals eager to succeed. The role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Since no travel is required outside the home site’s area, candidates can focus fully on delivering superior service and achieving sales goals locally within the San Diego region.
Travel + Leisure Co. also emphasizes work-life balance and associates’ well-being by offering a diverse range of comprehensive health and welfare benefits for employees working 30 or more hours per week. These include medical, dental, vision coverage, life and accident insurance, disability benefits, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, parental leave, holidays, and a 401(k) plan with employer match. Additional perks include a wellness program, employee assistance program, and opportunities for community involvement through paid volunteer days. The company is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and all employees are treated with respect and fairness.
Overall, this role is well-suited for individuals passionate about travel, customer service, and sales, who want to be part of a leading global company that shapes memorable vacation experiences. Joining Travel + Leisure Co. as a Sales Concierge means becoming part of a team dedicated to excellence, innovation, and creating lasting memories for travelers worldwide.
