The company operates with a commitment to ethics and inclusivity, fostering a diverse and respectful work environment where employees are valued as individuals and encouraged to contribute their unique talents. Known for its global presence and industry leadership, Johnson & Johnson offers comprehensive healthcare solutions through its multiple segments, including pharmaceuticals, consumer health products, and medical devices.
Within Johnson & Johnson, the MedTech division focuses on developing state-of-the-art medical devices and technologies that enhance patient outcomes and healthcare system efficiency. One of the key areas in MedTech is Orthopaedics, where Johnson & Johnson’s subsidiary DePuy Synthes delivers innovative orthopedic solutions ranging from joint reconstruction and trauma care to spinal surgery and digital surgery technologies. DePuy Synthes is recognized for its broad portfolio of products that blend biology and technology, offering smarter, less invasive, and personalized treatments that help millions regain mobility and improve quality of life each year.
The Sales Associate role based in Amarillo, Texas, lies within the Orthopaedics Sales team, part of the Clinical Sales – Surgeons sub-function. This professional opportunity offers the chance to be at the forefront of medical innovation by providing essential clinical and customer support directly in the hospital and surgical environments. The role is commission-based, rewarding sales success, and requires a dynamic individual passionate about healthcare, patient wellness, and advancing surgical treatment standards.
As a Sales Associate, your primary responsibilities will include assisting the DePuy Synthes sales team with customer retention and expanding market penetration by supporting new product adoption. You will be instrumental in guiding surgeons during operations, delivering expert product knowledge, and ensuring that surgical procedures proceed smoothly with optimal equipment utilization. The role demands technical proficiency in surgical instruments, procedures, and sterilization processes, alongside exemplary customer service and relationship management skills.
This position entails managing sales logistics, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining comprehensive records of sales activities and equipment deployment. Strong communication and collaboration with marketing and clinical teams will enable the continuous enhancement of customer solutions and service quality. The role also requires flexibility for travel to hospital sites, sometimes including weekends and overnight stays, emphasizing the commitment needed to meet client needs effectively.
Johnson & Johnson highly values inclusivity, career development, and work-life balance. The company offers an environment where every employee’s contributions are recognized and supported. This role promises opportunities to build valuable networks within healthcare, develop expertise in orthopedic sales, and make a tangible difference in patient care through innovative medical technology.
Joining Johnson & Johnson and DePuy Synthes means becoming part of a pioneering team dedicated to transforming healthcare and advancing orthopedic surgery. With an anticipated business separation forming a standalone Orthopaedics company, employees will experience robust support and new growth opportunities within a specialized organizational structure. If you are motivated, technically skilled, and passionate about improving lives through medical technology, this Sales Associate role in Amarillo, TX is an excellent career path to explore.
