The Sales Outfitter role at Bass Pro Shops is a full-time position focused on delivering world-class customer service and facilitating a pleasant and productive shopping experience. The primary responsibilities include greeting customers promptly, handling merchandise with care, demonstrating products, and offering expert advice to assist customers in making informed buying decisions. Sales Outfitters serve as product experts who stay current with ongoing product knowledge training and maintain pricing accuracy. They support seasonal merchandise moves, restocking, and floor merchandising activities to ensure the store remains well stocked and visually appealing. The role also encompasses promoting store programs such as CLUB Membership, Voice of the Customer surveys, and In-Store Pickup services.

In this position, Sales Outfitters must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to operate computerized Point of Sale systems, and a friendly, professional demeanor. Physical requirements include standing and walking extensively during shifts, occasionally using ladders or stairs, and the ability to lift objects ranging from 20 to 100 pounds, sometimes requiring teamwork for heavy items. The role demands occasional use of machinery or power tools and the ability to work in various environments, including tight spaces and noisy settings. Performance is guided by general supervision, with some independent judgment expected for task completion and problem-solving.
