This particular role is a full-time Front End Associate position with an hourly starting pay of $21.622. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6-12 months experience in retail cashiering and/or stocking
- Ability to perform physical activities such as standing continuously, walking continuously, lifting and carrying weights up to 100 lbs frequently
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and cash handling skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Must follow safety policies and maintain a clean environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
- Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Must possess the desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Must demonstrate good common sense and basic mathematical aptitude
- Motivated and self-driven with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
- Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and proficiency with general office equipment
Job Duties
- Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF'Store experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the store's customers
- Perform sales and cash functions in the POS in an efficient and accurate manner including scanning merchandise and handling discrepancies
- Perform cart-to-cart transfer of all products at checkout, including visual inspection for product tampering
- Perform duties as receipt checker verifying cart content vs. purchases as customers leave the store
- Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end based on assigned shift
- Ensure a continuing focus on increasing sales and managing shrinkage by assisting customers and maintaining the sales floor
- Assist in receiving inventory shipments and stocking shelves in a neat and orderly fashion ensuring proper rotation and product quality
- Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled including blaster tagging, catch weight labels, and plu tags
- Replenish sales floor daily by down stocking freight from top stock using reach trucks and pallet jacks
- Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel and proprietary software as needed
- Ensure cleanliness of sales floor, front end, restrooms, parking lot, and store entry area
- Gather carts from parking lot and cart corrals, ensuring they are clean and operable
- Participate in inventory and cycle count process as needed
- Follow safety policies and notify management of safety issues
- May perform other duties as assigned or required by store management
