The role of Tempur-Pedic Sales Associate is vital to the company’s customer engagement and sales success. This position focuses primarily on delivering excellent customer service while actively selling and marketing Tempur-Pedic products. Beyond regular sales duties, the Sales Associate will support store management by acting as a manager on duty when the Store Manager is unavailable, which includes responsibilities such as opening and closing the store and performing management tasks. This role requires someone with strong leadership skills who can maintain and enhance the customer experience, uphold the professional store environment, and adhere to company standards and policies. The Sales Associate will help identify store deficiencies, assist in problem-solving, support merchandising efforts, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of the store. This position offers an estimated annual compensation range between $40,000 and $60,000, reflecting base pay and performance incentives. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with high-end luxury and/or custom products
  • Strong sales skills in a consultative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, direct, and train others in a store setting
  • Skilled at current best practice retail methods, procedures, and standards
  • Demonstrated collaborator able to both lead and follow
  • Flexibility in work schedule reflecting the needs and patterns of store hours
  • Fluency with current retail software and computer systems
  • Must be able to stand for lengthy periods of time and occasionally lift items with or without assistance

Job Duties

  • Assist in managing and maintaining responsibility for the overall performance of the store
  • Provide leadership in all areas of the sales process including customer service and care, maintaining a professional appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures, and maintaining Tempur Sealy's brand
  • Continue to perform all the Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level
  • Assist the Store Manager in identifying deficiencies and solving problems in the store and within the sales team
  • Assist the store manager with merchandising, implementing company programs, and other needs
  • Solve problems within the sales team and direct larger issues to the Store Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned
