Job Description
Keeling Company is a well-established medium-sized enterprise that specializes in branch operations involving sales, customer service, warehouse support, and local deliveries. Known for its commitment to teamwork, respect, and exceptional customer service, Keeling Company provides its employees with a close-knit, supportive working environment that combines the benefits and opportunities characteristic of both small businesses and larger organizations. By maintaining a small team size of 3-4 associates per branch, the company fosters a culture where every team member is cross-trained to manage multiple responsibilities, ensuring operational flexibility and shared success within local branches. This approach not only creates a dynamic work atmosphere but also allows each employee to have a direct and meaningful impact on the overall success of their branch and the company as a whole.
The Sales Counter/Driver Associate role at Keeling Company is a versatile and vital position that plays an integral part in nearly every facet of branch operations. This hands-on role involves engaging with customers both in-person and over the phone, providing top-notch customer service and addressing inquiries related to product features, pricing, and after-sales services. The associate is also responsible for efficiently managing orders in the company's ERP system, preparing inventory orders for customer pickups or deliveries, and supporting warehouse activities. Given the key responsibility of making local deliveries, the position requires a motivated, knowledgeable, and energetic individual who can effectively manage their time in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while adhering to safety standards and company policies. The role also emphasizes teamwork and coordination, particularly during busy seasons, to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
In addition to operational duties, the Sales Counter/Driver Associate is expected to maintain the store's visual merchandising and inventory while ensuring that the branch premises remain clean, welcoming, and aligned with Keeling Company's brand expectations. Continuous learning and development are encouraged through company and vendor-sponsored training programs, allowing associates to stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends. With a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, this full-time position offers substantial benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA match, short and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, 401(k) with matching contributions, paid holidays, paid time off, paid on-the-job training, and opportunities for career advancement. The position complies with all DOT regulations for non-CDL operators, ensuring safety and regulatory adherence throughout local deliveries.
Keeling Company is deeply committed to equality and diversity, openly fostering an inclusive workplace that does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. The company encourages applications from all qualified candidates who are ready to contribute to a collaborative, high-energy, and customer-focused environment where professional growth and job satisfaction are highly valued.
