The Sales Associate role at Kelley's Market is an essential position within the retail team, reporting directly to the Station Manager. This role offers a dynamic and customer-focused work environment located at the Edgebrook store on 1621 N Alpine Rd, Rockford IL 61107. Sales Associates are responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by providing fast and friendly assistance while creating a positive shopping experience for all customers. The position requires mastery of point-of-sale systems to ensure efficient and accurate transactions. The Sales Associate also plays a pivotal role in maintaining store appearance by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the cleanliness of both interior and exterior store areas including pumps and car wash facilities. This role involves working in various environments, including coolers and freezers, which requires flexibility and adaptability. Aside from customer-facing duties, Sales Associates also support daily operational tasks such as completing shift paperwork, assisting with cash reconciliation, following food safety procedures, and maintaining precise time records. Teamwork is a core aspect of the job, requiring collaboration with colleagues and following leadership directives while adhering to safety and security procedures especially regarding cash handling. The pay range for this position is $15 to $18 per hour, with a $3 per hour shift differential for third shift workers.
