The Sales Associate role at Mondelēz International is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about retail merchandising and customer partnership within the grocery sector. This position involves working directly with major national grocery customers, including Walmart, Publix, and Target. The Sales Associate serves as a critical ambassador for world-famous snack brands, ensuring that products are properly stocked, displayed, and merchandised according to company guidelines. Typical tasks include visiting stores to stock shelves, building and maintaining product displays, ordering inventory through digital devices such as iPads, and collaborating with sales representatives and merchandisers to optimize product presence and availability in stores. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills to liaise with store management, and the ability to follow daily route plans efficiently. An important part of the job is to enhance seasonal sales opportunities by supporting displays and product launches that drive consumer interest and brand visibility.

This position demands physical stamina as it involves repetitive lifting, bending, and carrying products up to 25 pounds. Additionally, Sales Associates must be able to operate within a fast-paced retail environment, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining exceptional stock levels and presentation standards. Candidates are expected to live within reasonable commuting distance of key locations such as Salt Lake City, UT, with additional travel to nearby areas like Orem, UT, Pocatello, ID, and Provo, UT. A valid REAL ID driver’s license or equivalent is required given that the role services a military base facility, representing a federal access requirement.

Mondelēz International offers a competitive base salary ranging from $40,600 to $55,825, determined by experience, skills, education, and location. Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a valid REAL ID driver’s license, U.S. passport, or federal ID
  • ability to perform repetitive lifting, bending, and carrying up to 25 lbs
  • live within 25-35 miles range from the primary location Salt Lake City, UT
  • ability to drive to secondary locations including Orem, UT, Pocatello, ID, Provo, UT
  • full schedule availability required
  • willingness to travel to military base facility
  • physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment
  • no relocation support available

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and route plans
  • experience in retail or merchandising is a plus
  • valid driver’s license and ability to drive to multiple locations
  • familiarity with digital ordering systems such as iPads
  • physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • reliable and punctual work ethic

Job Duties

  • Carry out in-store visits according to Mondelēz visit method to cover any teammate as needed
  • order product via iPad tablet for shelf and display to ensure in-stock conditions
  • ensure Nabisco leading brands are well represented, stocked, and maintained through the implementation of Mondelēz merchandising guidelines
  • ensure the sales representative’s negotiations with store managers are being followed and communicate any issues with Mondelēz management team
  • follow the daily route planning prepared by the operations team to ensure the most efficient in-store service
  • enhance seasonal sales, seasonal displays, and new product launches
  • work in conjunction with the merchandisers to ensure inventory is fully stocked, rotated, and presentable at all times
